4 cups all purpose flour
2 tbsp ground cinnamon for sprinkling
2 tbsp sugar for dusting
2 tbsp baking powder
4 cups of sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 cup milk
8 tbsp margarine
2 chopped apple
Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks in a large bowl. Whip the eggs whites until fluffy and set them aside.
In a bowl, beat the egg yolks, sugar and margarine until they resemble a fluffy cream.
Add the flour, cornstarch and milk to the cream and beat for 2 minutes.
Add the egg whites and baking powder to the mix and gently fold.
Pour half of the batter in a greased pan, add the chopped apples and cover the apples with the rest of the batter.
Bake in a hot oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick, inserted n the middle of the pan, comes out clean.
After the cake is done, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
